MedApp has signed a funding agreement for the “We Are Health Champions” project worth EUR 7.88 million, implemented under the EU I3 instrument together with 17 partners from across Europe.
On 16 July 2024 MedApp is pleased to announce the signing of a funding agreement for the project “We Are Health Champions – Disrupting the European Healthcare Systems with Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Applications”. The project aims to reduce market barriers to VR/AR technologies in healthcare in the less developed regions of Europe by addressing gaps in the value chains of five key SMEs.
In addition, the project will draw lessons from past experience and tailor innovation support services for other SMEs working with VR/AR in healthcare.
The total value of the project is EUR 7,881,329.46.
The project will be implemented under the Interregional Innovation Investments Instrument (I3) programme, call I3-2023-INV2a, in cooperation with the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) and a consortium of 17 partners, including MedApp.

MedApp's augmented reality and AI-based solutions can support physicians in military hospitals and in operational conditions. The company holds an NCAGE code, and its subsidiary has applied for a licence to trade in military-purpose technology.
