The first treatments using CarnaLife Holo at the Silesian Medical University in Katowice, Poland.

On August 19, 2024, the first procedures using CarnaLife Holo mixed reality 3D holographic imaging technology were performed at the Clinic of the University Dental Center of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice. The procedure was performed by a team of specialists led by Professor Malgorzata Skucha-Nowak.

The CarnaLife Holo system uses Microsoft’s HoloLens2 goggles, which enable 3D interactive visualization of the patient’s diagnostic imaging data. On this day, two procedures were performed using the MedApp software: extraction of a retained tooth and a periodontal procedure on a patient diagnosed with periodontitis.

The use of the CarnaLife Holo software, combined with HoloLens2 goggles, made it possible to improve precision in the planning and execution of the procedures. The 3D holographic visualization of the CT scan image made it possible to accurately visualize the maxillofacial structures, including bones, teeth, and nerves, allowing the procedure to be carried out precisely without damaging the surrounding tissues.

CarnaLife Holo is already being used in many medical specialties, including surgery, cardiology and orthopedics. The growing number of specialties using our software reinforces our belief that the medical market needs this type of solution to meet the challenges of modern healthcare.

We would like to thank everyone involved in carrying out procedures using CarnaLife Holo. We are pleased that Polish medical technologies are being promoted by leading medical and training centers.
