Objective of the project
The aim of the project is to develop a point-of-care device for monitoring patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) at home and early diagnosis of CKD cases. The device aims to be a user-friendly, minimally invasive, ultra-cost-effective solution that enables seamless doctor-patient interaction via the cloud platform. The system developed as part of the project will consist of a handy device, a capsule containing a multi-parameter screen printing sensor and a mobile application to display the results and connect to the healthcare facility. The solution will improve the quality of life of patients, improve patient-physician communication, facilitate decision-making, enable personalized treatment, and reduce healthcare costs.
The project is implemented by a Polish-Spanish consortium consisting of two companies – Renalyse (CreatSens Health S.L.) and MedApp. As part of the project, MedApp will be responsible for the development of software for the final product, which includes both the creation of a platform for data collection and presentation as well as AI algorithms for predicting and detecting the stage of CKD, as well as atrial fibrillation from ECG signals.
